Sustainability initiatives
We want to make our packaging circular as soon as possible and are actively involved in several sustainability initiatives in Europe. Common goals we want to contribute to include:
European platform of more than 300 organisations from industry, universities and public organisations, initiated from the European Commission (Eu Green Deal, The European Plastics Strategy) to accelerate the EU recycled raw materials market and expand the plastics value chain.
Initiative from the Ministry of Infrastructure & Water Management, as part of the Dutch transition agenda. Together, we are joining hands to bring a circular economy for plastic products and packaging closer. The participants of Plastic Pact NL are the frontrunners from the Dutch industry.
The German federative association of plastic packaging and foils, with around 300 participants from the packaging industry. Within this association there are a large number of specific product specialist groups working on all kinds of legislation and initiatives around circularity. EuroMouldings is active in the 'environment and sustainability' trade group (HA Umwelt & Nachhaltigkeit).
The Dutch Rubber and Plastics Industry Federation represents the interests of 400 companies. Under this association are 19 trade associations, including the trade association for the packaging industry; NRK Packaging. This includes the 'policy measures' working group where we are active in the field of circularity.
